Titus Bramble, a professional football player, was born on July 21, 1981 in Ipswich, England. He has a brother, Tesfaye Bramble, who is also a professional football player playing for Leiston, as of 2008.
Titus Bramble has represented England in the Under-21 team for two years, from 2000 to 2002 and has had ten international caps for this team and a goal to his credit. He is also eligible to play for Montserrat through his grandfather.
This centre-back player started his football career by training at Ipswich Town’s youth team from 1996 to 1998. Following this, Titus Bramble went on to play for the club’s senior team, making his League debut on December 20, 1998, at Sheffield United. He was taken on loan by Colchester United on December 30, 1999 and played there for a month, making two appearances. Titus Bramble then returned to play for Ipswich Town and stayed there till 2002. He netted his first goal for the club in a match against Sunderland in August 2006, and helped his team win the match 1-0. This goal also marked Ipswich's first win since their return to the Premier League after a gap of four years. On the whole, he made 61 appearances for Ipswich Town and scored four goals.
On July 12, 2002, Titus Bramble signed a £5 million contract to play for Newcastle United Football Club and made his first appearance for it in the month that followed. He had an impressive first season, establishing himself in the first team, and made over 20 appearances during that season. In a match against Chelsea on May 8, 2006, Titus Bramble scored the only winning-goal and guided his team to qualify for the Intertoto Cup. A few months later, in the UEFA Cup second qualifying round, he scored an important goal against FK Ventspils, a Latvian football club. In 2007, Titus Bramble displayed his impressive skills in matches against Fulham, Liverpool, and Middlesbrough and even pulled out a Man of the Match performance in a match against Zulte-Waregem in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Cup.
On June 4, 2007, he signed a three-year deal and moved to Wigan Athletic Football Club on a free transfer. As of 2008, Titus Bramble has appeared in 28 matches for the club, and this includes one Football Association Challenge (FA) Cup appearance as well.
